Jacko Gill improved national record - 20.42m in Timaru!

For the first time Jacko officialy threw over 20m 5kg shot. Watch video from the competition.
20.42m, new New Zealand National record (age group 16).
In 2009 IAAF Youth ranking Jacko takes place in 3rd position following Polish Brzozowski and Crouser from US.
Jacko also threw 1.25kg discus: 58.12 m in a slippery circle and bad windy conditions.

Previous record was held by Tom Walsh (M17 20.21m).
